Ozekhomenization

I found myself a being on the soil of the most oppressed continent called Africa. As a Globetrotter, I have never seen a nation on a saddle fastened on a headless horse as we have it on our earthly divides. It is frightening to see the blind lead the blind and more appalling to see the blind leading the ones who can see.
‘WHAT HAS THE NIGERIAN CITIZEN DONE’ has being the most persistent question in my mind, buttressing and extending the position of Prof. Mike Ozekhome (SAN), as he wept over the repressions, obsessions, oppressions, suppressions, aggressions and the totalitarianism of the epileptic governance settings, run by those whose appetite for public wealth can never be satisfied, when he asked ” WHAT HAS THE IGBO MAN DONE?”
Nigeria is still in her dark age, for no corruption is entertained in the light age. Absolute power is the croissant served on our public seat of authority. No viable umpire body to checkmate the abuses in public offices. As far as you are loyal to the power that be, all your sins will be forgiven, as aired by a major actor on our political rostrum.
Cultivated from studies, brain-storming and encounters, l will put it to you that mental blindness is far worse than optical blindness. No other way about it! Corruption is a product of reasoning deficiency. No matter how beautiful the look of a coffin, it will never make a sane man desire death. Leadership without honesty is like a body without the spirit. It is unfortunate that our politicians only pretend to care about the people during election and quickly forget about them after election.
Our leaders deliberately sabotaged education to make the larger part of our population their political fishing tools. If you are truly educated in the real sense of education, you will stop being tools in the hands of rogues.
There is no other harsher form of oppression than that of a corrupt public office holder. It is worse than inter – racial slavery. A public office holder’s chief responsibility is to be accountable and defend the interest of those he is there to serve. As l have afore stated in one of my national newspaper’s columns, a blow from a brother is far more devastating than the same measure of blow from a stranger.
Westerners have fine tuned our system to function in bad shape while they support and promote political iniquities on African soil; or, at best pretend to be on a good page with mere lip service. Our tears equals their cheers. My ‘Ozekhomenization’ to all foreign oppressors, WHAT HAS THE AFRICAN MAN DONE?
While I navigate through the Seas of life, I remembered sometime ago as kids. We will build beautiful sand sculptures and when the rain comes, we will go away and abandon the sculptures while the rain wash them away. Same thing as life. When the rain of death shall come, we shall abandon all our treasures gotten through rigorous struggles for the rain to eternally wash away. Lifeless terracotta shall we then become.
Please note this: All that walk on, live on, and that which is built on the sand are nothing but sand.
