Ozigbo’s Island Of Denial

After watching Mr Valentine Ozigbo’s video on two years of Governor Charles Chukwuma Soludo’s governorship, many are of the view that Ozigbo desperately wants to enter the Guinness Book of Records as that man with the worse opaque vision ever – eyes that cannot see even when the object is right there on his nose.

Ozigbo, Labour Party’s candidate in the Anambra State 2021 governorship election, would not join issues on the track of Soludo’s development strides, but in typical riot mentality, demands of the administration proof of it’s exoneration from mob verdict.

Unfortunately for Ozigbo, his partisan  denial is rubbished by the performance approval by independent assessors.

A more considerate politician would be embarrassed by the long list of eminent citizens who endorsed Soludo’s achievements in two years as impressive. But not Ozigbo, desperate to be seen as relevant.

Consider the tributes by Most Rev Paulinus Ezeokafor, Catholic Bishop of Awka; Senator Chris Ngige, former Governor of Anambra State who has a better grasp of the job far more than Ozigbo the neophyte; Chairman, Board of EEDC, Emeka Offor; ambassador Bianca Ojukwu; Chief Emeka Anyaoku and very significantly, Hon Johnbosco Akaegbobi, Minority Leader, Anambra House of Assembly and member of the Labour Party as Valentine Ozigbo.

We also saw videos of grassroot crowds appreciating the Governor at commissioning of roads and other projects. And just as Ozigbo was dropping his propaganda of denial, the National Senior Secondary Education Commission named Anambra it’s zonal headquarters in recognition of the “revolution going on in the State’s education sector”.

Poor Valentine Ozigbo. He can choose to remain an island unto himself. He can choose to stand still on the ground of the 2021 election. But Anambra is on its way to a prosperous and livable homeland and an overwhelming majority of citizens are aboard.
