PDP Congress Held To Elect New Executives In Ejigbo LCDA Ward F5

Speaking with Adebayo Matthew Ibiyinka, the newly elected Chairman PDP Ward F5, under the Ejigbo LCDA, he stated that they had gathered in their Ward to conduct a Congress as stipulated by the law that guides the party to elect new executives.

He thanked God for the success of the congress in Ward F5 as everything went on fine, free and fair, there was no fight and it was done peacefully.

Ibiyinka believed that with this outcome of a peaceful congress, it should be made known to the authorities that something like this took place in Ejigbo LCDA F5 Ward. Every other excos were present and the voters can attest to the success of the gathering, believing that PDP will achieve better things and key positions in Lagos State and in Nigeria.

He also recounted the number of votes gotten by the new executives of Ward F5 PDP to confirm their positions.

The Chairmanship position got 309 votes

The Vice Chairmanship position got 301 votes.

The Secretary position got 305 votes

The Woman Leader position got 201 votes

The Youth leader position got 402 votes

The PRO position got 126 votes 

Organising Secretary position got 136 votes

The Auditor position got 110 votes

The Financial secretary position got 120 votes

The Treasurer position got 150 votes

The Legal position got 120 votes

And these are the most important positions at Ward F5, as the former executives’ era has passed and the newly elected executives are for a new tenure.

Mr. Gbadamosi Olawale Jamiu, the newly elected Vice Chairman for Ward 5, Ejigbo LCDA, also talked about the success of the congress, thanking the members of the party, who came out enmasse to vote for their choice of representatives in the various positions of Ward F5. He also appreciated the INEC official, who came to observe that the congress was carried out successfully and fair enough. He also appreciated the last administration of the F5 Ward for doing well, while assuring that the newly elected executives as well that will fight to make sure PDP is successful in Lagos State.

“It is time to take over Lagos State”, he said.

On a final note, the Vice Chairman thanked all the members of the party for all their efforts in the past years and now towards the success of the party, believing that the new executives will perform more than the past executives all for the success of PDP In Lagos State.

Hon. Omotayo Fagboye, the newly elected Secretary for Ejigbo LCDA Ward F5, also expressed his gratitude to the members for their massive support and the trust invested in the new executives for the key post given and also to the PDP members nationally.

“We have a task ahead of us and that’s delivering the people out of slavery and poverty and that’s why intellectual persons have given the mandate to the newly elected persons to move Ejigbo forward, Lagos and Nigeria as a whole.”

He further stated that joint effort is needed to move the other parties away from the system due to their inappropriate inability to deliver the people from poverty and slavery.

“The roads are bad, no adequate power supply, no sustainability so far. Due to this we have decided to elect new executives, who will move the party forward from our Ward F5 and start with our community to deliver Ejigbo of its inadequacies. We want to have the right set of people in key positions in Lagos State. In the Local Government, House of Assembly, House of Representatives, Lagos State Government and Presidency too, not those who will go there for only personal gains.”

He thanked the leaders in Ejigbo LCDA for the support and beliefs they have in the new excos as well as the members too for their support, assuring the leaders of PDP in Ejigbo LCDA that they will carry out their duties accordingly.

 Mr. Akiniyi Dogun, the newly elected Youth Leader, also stated that there was organised form of violence as the congress was successful. He urged the members to put heads together and lift PDP to greater heights.

The newly elected Woman Leader of Ejigbo LCDA Ward F5, Mrs. Fatimo Abimbola Olajide, was thankful for a successful election of the new excos. She stated that the sole aim and objective of PDP is to win Lagos State and as such all hands must be on deck, promising that during their tenure, they will do better and hopes that PDP takes over the state and federal.

Mr. Rasak Akinde Popoola, Leader of PDP Ejigbo, prayed for a successful tenure for the present administration of Ward F5, thanking everyone, who was present to see the congress to a conclusion.

One of the members present, Comrade Lukman Awoyeye, also added that the congress came out with worthy excos successfully and there was no chaos as everyone was very coordinated and it was a peaceful gathering.

The congress ended with a special vote of thanks from the chairman, promising that the new excos will work hand in hand with members to achieve a common aim as no one is superior to the other; all should work as one to deliver PDP in Lagos State and Nigeria as a whole. He also stated that he will listen and adhere to suggestions, carrying everyone along. He promised not to fail his members but do what he is asked to do and he will not disappoint anyone so that they can all succeed while promoting togetherness to enjoy the dividends of democracy especially in Lagos State and in Nigeria is a goal that must be achieved he quipped.
