Peace Ambassadors Partner With Ezendigbo, Alimosho On Conflict Resolutions

The Igbo traditional leader in Alimosho Local Government Area, known as Ezendigbo, Eze Lawrence Eze, has expressed his commitment to support the newly formed Peace Ambassadors for conflict resolutions in Lagos State.

P.M.EXPRESS reports that the monarch stated this at his palace during a courtsey visit by the National President of the organization, Ambassador Ezewele Cyril Abionanojie, with his entourage at Ikotun, Lagos.

Eze noted that the initiative was what Nigeria and indeed the world at large are clamoring for due to violence, hatred and other vices ravaging the society and needed to be encouraged.

He expressed his readiness to mobilize other traditional rulers from different ethnic groups to support the vision for the interest of peace in Lagos State and Nigeria.

Ambassador Ezewele, while presenting him the letter of introduction of the group in presence of his council, explained that the group, Peace Ambassadors, is an association of humanitarian global peace initiative, Non-governmental voluntary development organisation established as a body of Ambassador Ezewele Cyril Abionanojie Foundation. 

He said the foundation is registered with the Corporate Affairs Commission (CAC), Abuja, having its registered office at Plot 52, Governor’s Road, Ikotun, Lagos, Nigeria, West Africa.

He stated:” The visions of the group are centred on the  world where justice and equal opportunity are guaranteed to all, as we envision a future without war and corrupt leadership settings”. 

On the mission statement, he said the group is working to achieve a united universe where there shall be no boundary that fans the embers of discord and where conflicts shall be resolved without violence.


Ezewele also highlight some of the objectives which include:To promote innovative, value-based approach to peacebuilding.To sensitize people on how to manage conflict without violence, respect all forms of life, engage in social justice activities, appreciate intercultural, religious diversity and envision a future without war.

To organize intercultural festivals, sports, seminar and empowerment programmes.To settle disputes, collaborate with other peace building organization and recognize eminent peace personalities.
He explained Peace Ambassadors will be unveiled very soon where every ethnic group in Lagos will come together as brothers to champion a common course which is peace, love and unity, thereby foreclosing any conflict among ethnic groups in Nigeria and indeed the world.

He stated that the organisation will be created from the Local Governments, States and Federal level including FCT, other African countries and the world at large.
