PHOTOS: Team Lagos Ends Asaba 2023 NYG On 2nd Position

Team Lagos were adjudged the second-best team at the just concluded 7th National Youth Games in Asaba, Delta State.

The Lagos State contingent had an improved performance in this year’s games than the outing in Ilorin 2021 championship. The team had a record of 21 gold, 19 silver and 21 bronze medals finished behind Team Delta who came first with 51 gold, 34 silver and 31 bronze medals, while Team Edo came third with 21 gold, 15 silver and 17 bronze medals.

The result at the just concluded Asaba 2023 could be seen as a slight improvement considering some odds of challenges the team face coming to Delta State for the youth tournament and despite that the athletes were able to show medal presence in at least 20 sporting events.
