It appears that there is no hiding place for bandits and members of cult groups following the security strategy put in place over their activities by the Commissioner of Police, Mr Hakeem Odumosu, in Lagos State.

P.M.EXPRESS reports that recently 14 members of various cult groups were arrested in Ejigbo and paraded at the State Police Command after the Police foiled their operation during their meeting at Jakande Estate.

Those arrested were members of both Eiye and Aiye Confraternities, who had assembled at the place having a meeting on how to embark on reprisal attacks against themselves to cause violence in the State.
However, Police operatives from Ejigbo Division led by CSP Olabisi Okuwobi received intelligence that the group were holding meetings separately in the area and the Police moved into action.

It was confirmed that 14 of them were arrested while others managed to escape and now at large.
Those arrested included: Isaac Obisesan, Charles Chukwuemeka, Samuel Isaac, Olumide Adebayo, Daniel Adimorah, Olushola Fayoda and Olamilekan Akinyemi. Others are Godwin Adebona, Olamilekan Ishola, Taiwo Babalola, Adeosun Ridwan, Gafari Ajenifunja, Adeyemi Adebayo and Aliu Usman.

The suspects were arrested and transferred to SCIID, Panti, Yaba, from where they were paraded for the alleged involvement in several murder cases and other crimes in the State.

Police sources at SCIID, Yaba, Lagos said that the suspects have already confessed their alleged involvement in several murder cases including the death of late Isaiah Olumadamilare, who was killed at Ajao Estate, Kazeem Yinusa, who was shot dead in front of Okike Hotel & Suites and late Emmanuel a.k.a Koleran, who were murdered in Ejigbo area of Lagos.

The Police boss said that the suspects will be charged before the Court for the alleged offence after the conclusion of investigations and may likely be jailed for life if they are tried and found guilty.
