Police Bust Notorious ‘One Chance’ Robbers After Throwing Woman Out Of Moving Car

It was the end of the road for two suspected notorious armed robbers, popularly known as “One chance”, John Iorfa, 29, and James Agbo, 37, as they were arrested having thrown out their female victim from their operation vehicle in Nasarawa State. 
P.M.EXPRESS reports that the suspects, both from Makurdi, Benue State, were arrested by the Police operatives from the Nasarawa State Command and recovered their operational vehicle in the Karu Local Government Area of the state.
This was disclosed by the Police Public Relations Officer of the Command, DSP Ramhan Nansel, who confirmed their arrest and detention over their alleged criminal conduct.
He stated that the suspects threw an unsuspecting female passenger out of a moving vehicle after robbing her of her valuables and had engaged in stealing items from unsuspecting members of the public.
The PPRO stated that the suspects were apprehended following painstaking efforts by officers of the Command and their operational vehicle was also recovered as exhibit.
“On 13/8/2024 at about 2030hrs, information was received that suspected armed robbers riding in a Toyota Corolla 1994 model with Reg. No. Benue MKD 77 TF picked up an unsuspecting passenger from New Nyanya en route to Area 1, Abuja, but robbed the passenger of her handbag, iPhone, and other valuables and threw their victim out of the moving vehicle,” the statement read.
“Upon receipt of the information, Police operatives attached to New Karu Area Command, in collaboration with public-spirited individuals, gave the criminals a hot chase and intercepted their vehicle.”
The image maker, DSP Nansel, stated that the swift and coordinated efforts resulted in the interception of the suspects’ vehicle and they were arrested on the spot with items stolen from the victim, which were recovered.
He stated that during interrogation, the suspects made useful statements and that will assist the Police to make further efforts to arrest other members of their syndicate.
He stated that the suspects will be charged before the Court for the alleged offence under the Criminal Laws of the State but that will be after the conclusion of investigations by the Police.
