The Senior Pastor of House On The Rock, Pastor Paul Adefarasin, has been exonerated by the Police having been alleged and rumoured to be in illegal possession of firearm as depicted in a viral video.
Confirming the development on the matter, the Media and Communications Department of House On The Rock stated, “Dear friends,
Thank you for your patience, prayers, and understanding in recent months. The Lagos State Police Command has conducted its enquiries concerning our Senior Pastor, Paul Adefarasin”.
“The object referred to in its earlier reports has been confirmed to be a civilian stun device and not a lethal weapon nor a firearm. No offence was found under extant Nigerian law, and the Lagos State Police Command will not file any charges. The matter is now concluded.”
“In recent weeks, Pastor Paul, his wider family, and our church community have endured intense public attention and scrutiny. Yet in the midst of the noise, we chose the path of restraint, cooperation, and confidence in the LORD whom we serve.”
“This outcome reaffirms what we have always known; that the truth will always prevail. We commend the professionalism of the Lagos State Police Command in bringing this matter to an orderly conclusion.”
“Now, our focus is to continue the work of proclaiming Christ, serving our cities, nation-building, and connecting diverse communities.”
