Facts have emerged on how Police operatives from FSARS shot dead a member of Christ Apostolic Church, CAC, Francis Agba, while he was sweeping on the street in Lagos.

P.M.EXPRESS reports that the incident happened at Ajishegiri Street off Shyllon Street, Ilupeju area of Lagos on Monday 15th July, 2019, at about 8.15am.

It was gathered that the Police had stormed the area with one of the arrested cult gang members terrorizing people in the area and its environs to recover their arms.
However, members of cult gang resisted and ambushed the police; opened fire on them and the Police operatives were forced to retreat.
It was gathered that the high power weapons used by the criminal elements to secure their armoury forced the Police to retreat to avoid much casualty during the gun battle.
Having repelled the attack, the Police operatives mobilised officers from FSARS at Ladipo Unit in Mushin area, stormed the place and eventually killed the late Francis while the members of the cult gang escaped and reportedly secured their armoury.
The late Francis was shot dead while he was sweeping the street as a cleaner employed by the residents and he bled to death.
It was gathered that it was not only the late Francis that suffered similar fate, another victim, an unidentified woman, was shot death on the day of the gun battle before the Police mobilised the next day and killed the late Francis in cold blood.
The gun battle between the Police and the cult members was earlier confirmed by the Police Public Relations Officer, DSP Bala Elkana, who said it was only a woman that died during the encounter. The Police were yet to respond to the latest development over the murder of the late Francis.
The residents and church members of late Francis said that they will be able to identify the officer involved in the dastardly act of murder of innocent person and were calling on the Lagos State Commissioner of Police to investigate the matter and ensure that justice was done. The corpse of the late Francis has been deposited at mortuary for autopsy report. He was a struggling citizen who was feeding on sweeping job for people.
