The Lagos State Commissioner of Police,  Mr. Imohimi Edgal on Tuesday  displayed more than 180 assorted kind of guns, unexpended cartridges and live ammunition recovered from suspected criminals and illegally possessed fire arms.

Also recovered were different brands of SUVs stolen by robbery syndicates, cutlasses, axes and assorted charms. Some members of cult groups, vehicle snatchers, fraudsters and other suspected criminals were also paraded by CP Edgal.

P.M.EXPRESS reports that some of the suspects confessed to their crimes while some of the cultists boldly challenged the police to give them jobs that will keep them busy to never get themselves involved in cult activities.

The police boss while parading them said that the success and the arrest of the suspects were due to the cooperation between the police and members of the public who informed the police about what was happening in their areas. He also thanked the members of the press for their cooperation in disseminating information to the public for them to understand the police and its new policy direction. He assured the press that the police will continue to work with them in the protection of lives and properties in the State.

Some of the suspects who spoke with P.M.EXPRESS confessed their involvement in the alleged offences they were said to have committed.
One of the suspects, a 55-year old Benjamin Ojukwu confessed that he was involved in the adulteration of wines. He revealed that he learnt how to produce those wines but had no money to build a befitting factory where he will employ people to produce.

The police had stormed his room apartment at Market Road in Mushin, Lagos and uncovered Ojukwu’s illegal activities of producing assorted drinks which he sells at Ojuoye market in the same area. He was arrested, police recovered the drinks as exhibits and kept them at the Command in Ikeja, Lagos.

CP Edgal said that the suspects will be charged to court after the conclusion of investigations.
