Praises For Ajala As Odiolowo/Ojuwoye Inaugurates Rehabilitated Office Block At Mushin General Hospital

The Executive Chairman of Odiolowo/Ojuwoye Local Council Development Area, Lagos State, Hon. Rasaq Olusola Ajala, has inaugurated a block of offices rehabilitated by his administration at the Mushin General Hospital at Oliyide Street, Mushin.

 

The building, Block D, was fully rehabilitated for the use of staff of the General Hospital. It was formerly in a state of dilapidation before the intervention of the Ajala administration.

“We rehabilitated this block for the use of the staff of the Mushin General Hospital. It is our contribution to the improved welfare for staff, medical staff and patients at the hospital,” he said.

 

Ajala also assured that his administration will not relent in assisting the hospital whenever it is called upon. “We will continue to contribute our own quota to the growth of this hospital, hence we will always hearken to your calls,” he assured.

The event took place at the premises of the hospital.

The Medical Director of the Hospital, Dr. Oluyemi Taiwo, expressed appreciation to the Ajala administration for the gesture.

“We are grateful for this kind gesture by Honourable Rasaq Ajala and his team at Odiolowo/Ojuwoye LCDA. This will go a long way in improving service delivery at the hospital. But like Oliver Twist, we will always ask for more,” she said.

 

Ajala reminded Dr Taiwo of the need to establish of the general hospital in Odiolowo/Ojuwoye LCDA.

“The old Mushin Local Government was standing on three legs: Itire, New Mushin and Odiolowo.

“But of the three legs: Itire, New Mushin and Odiolowo, it is only our LCDA (Odiolowo) that is without a center from the General Hospital.

“My appeal to the management, therefore, is to find a way to have a center in our LCDA,” the council boss said.

Doctor Olawale Adegbite, Director Medical Services represented the Permanent Secretary, Health Service Commission at the event and he also expressed appreciation to the Ajala-led administration for the intervention.

He also appealed to other people in Mushin to come to the aid of the hospital in the form of support to what the government is doing.

Other Medical Directors at the event: Dr. Oseni Salisu, Isolo General Hospital; and Dr Adesola Pitan, Orile Agege General Hospital, were profuse in their praises for the Ajala administration for taking the initiative to rehabilitate the building.

They sought for more collaboration to get modern equipment as personnel and experts abound to carry out the services for the people in our community.

Many people attended the event: the Vice Chairman of the Council, Hon Seyi Jakande; Councillors; Supervisory Councillors; party leaders led by the APC Chairman in the Council, Tunde Kazeem (TUNKAZ); the Council Manager, Pastor (Mrs) Folake Otenaike; the Council Treasurer, Mujitaba Rufai-Karounwi; management staff; and religious and market leaders.
