It appears that criminal elements operating in Lagos have no hiding place following the recent developments since the coming of the State Commissioner of Police , CP Hakeem Odumosu.

P.M.EXPRESS reports that 55 days after the Police boss resumed duty, security of lives and property have taken another dimension in the State as criminals are in disarray.

CP Odumosu has also warned criminals to leave the state or risk the wrath of the Police; for some of the criminals, who still want to remain in Lagos, to write their wills as they must not escape the arms of the law.
“I am not begging criminals not to remain or stay in Lagos. They are advised to leave honourably or write their wills if they want to remain, because, we must get them, no matter how long it may take us.”
“You recalled that a Policeman was killed in 2018 in Ogba, but just this month in 2020, we have picked the criminals. You can run, but you cannot hide. With the strategy we have put in place, criminals are in trouble.”
He revealed that the Police have arrested over 700 criminals between November last year and January, 2020. Among the people picked were members of the notorious ‘One million boys’, isolated cases of kidnapping have been foiled and victims rescued.

“We have done well in the issue of crime fighting. Traffic robbery has reduced dramatically and we will continue with the tempo” Odumosu said.
P.M.EXPRESS investigation revealed that the crime rate actually reduced following the coordinated collaboration of the Police and members of the public since CP Odumosu took over as CP Lagos State.
The achievement may have been due to the support of the Lagos State Government and the motivation for the officers from the Divisions, Area Commands and the State Command by providing security equipment for the officers for effective operation in the State.
