President Muhammadu Buhari has sent condolences to Government and people of Ondo and Ekiti States over the death of Rear Admiral Sunday Abiodun Olukoya (Rtd), who passed on at 72.

The President described the late Rear Admiral, who served as a Military Governor of Old Ondo State (now Ondo and Ekiti) between 1990 and 1992 as a brilliant officer, who distinguished himself in his career in the military and performed creditably in Ondo.

President Buhari noted that even after retirement from the Military, the late Rear Admiral Olukoya, in his desire for a better society, continued to offer his services to his community as a private citizen.

The President prayed Almighty God to grant the deceased eternal rest and comfort his family, friends and associates as they mourn him.
