President Buhari, Please Prove Me Wrong!
ENGR. ABIODUN TAIWO

Dear President Buhari,
Let me first start by complimenting you on the feat achieved so far especially in the area of the infrastructural development, these are very glaring and we appreciate your administration for this.
Despite the state of the Nation when you took over and the various unanticipated challenges that has piqued the Nation since the inception of your administration, your focus and tenacity in repairing/ replacing our “decayed infrastructures” is most applauded….my simple prayer is that the LORD shall deliver our Nation from all her challenges.
However Sir, I am pained and disappointed in the manner of your approach to some critical National issues, especially those that required urgent attention and immediate necessary action(s).
The most recent is the #ENDSARSNOW protest going on across the Nation.
Sir, with due respect, you must begin to take full responsibility for every bad things that happened to Nigerian citizens.
Sir, for how long do you want to be shifting responsibilities?
My dear President, can you please stand and do the job we worked so hard to elect you for.
Most of us made enemies even amongst our family members just because we were supporting you during the elections.
We were severely criticised and some of us were ostracized from our places of worship because we boldly stood for you…
Our political leaders, especially in Lagos dispensed their personal resources to ensure your victory at the polls…my own leader had to station her biological son at her own polling unit to intellectually engaged a senior bank manager that was employed by the leading opposition party, who acted as their agent, notwithstanding the security threat to her and her son; they dared the odds…I guess your own children, were under the protection of the security agencies at that time.
Sir, with the aforesaid, I mean no disrespect; I am just trying to let you know the extent we went to ensure Victory for you.
I was your agent at the LGA level and we deferred sleep and cold for 48hrs to defend the vote cast for you…all these were because we craved for a new Nigeria that works.
We lost loyal friends because we erroneously believed you were the key to this new Nigeria.
Moving forward Sir, it will be nice if you can stop outsourcing your responsibilities to people we did not vote for!
Sir, you can please take a cue from our Governor in Lagos State; he was proactive in his approach to the protest, he acted in good faith, he addressed the protesters with a lot of sympathy and understanding, even the Deputy Governor, joined the protesters in lifting their banners and gave a speech…
The Governor has since setup a Panel of enquiry, Trust Fund and he has continued to engage various stakeholders…
Your Excellency Sir, that is leadership!
If you do not believe in any of our statements Sir, you may as well learn from your counterpart in the UK, what leadership and being Presidential is all about.

Wonderful write-up, same questions on my mind
