President Tinubu Signs Student Loan Bill Into Law

President Bola Ahmed Tinubu today June 12, 2023, signed into law the Student Loan Bill. 
Signing of the loan bill comes as part of the fulfilment of his electioneering campaign promises that indigent students can afford to further their education under his administration.
P.M.EXPRESS gathered that the funds will be domiciled in the Ministry of Education and will only be accessed by indigent students of tertiary institutions.
It will be recalled that the student loan bill was sponsored by the Speaker of the 9th House of Representatives, Rt. Hon. Femi Gbajabiamila and it provides for interest-free loans to indigent Nigerian students from the Nigerian Education Loan Fund.
