Prince Wowo Sees Bright Future For Nigerian Football

The fortunes of Nigerian football is expected to be on the high once again. This much was the opinion of foremost grassroots football promoter, Prince Ogaga Wowo, as he enthused confidently that Nigeria football has the potentials to regain its enviable place of pride in the comity of football playing nations.
Prince Wowo, stated that with concerted efforts, particularly, from the grassroots level, Nigeria football shall be great again.
“The future of Nigerian football is certainly bright. However, we need to put in  more efforts at developing football at the grassroots level.
“The grassroots is the bedrock of any meaningful football development in any country. I want to enjoin every well placed individual and corporate bodies to invest resources in the grassroots level, which is the most important level of football,” he advised.
He went ahead to reveal plans by his organisation to stage an international youth football tournament later this month. According to the youthful football administrator, the tournament which is expected feature 18 local and international teams is aimed at boosting the talents pool of the country.
“We have concluded arrangements to hold the first edition of our youth tournament called ‘Kobis Global Football Tournament’ for players aged 16- 18 years. The registration is free and with lots mouth watering prizes including cash and participating in the popular Gothia Cup in Sweden,” he disclosed.
