MICHAEL AKINOLA

A 37-year old married Prophet, Chibuzor Nwachukwu, has landed in trouble after he allegedly abducted the daughter of one of his Church members, reportedly engaged her in marathon sex for three weeks and impregnated her in the process.
P.M.EXPRESS reports that the incident happened at Prince Ajayi Close, Hassan Bus Stop in Egan, Igando area of Lagos, from where he took the victim into captivity but joined her parents in the search for her whereabouts.
However, while the searching was going on, information got to the parents that Prophet Nwachukwu knew the where about of the victim.
Hence, the matter was reported to the Police intelligence team at Disaster Management Unit, Ikeja; the suspect, Nwachukwu, was arrested and detained at the Police Command for interrogation.
During interrogation, he confessed that he took the victim to Isiala Ngwa town in Abia State and she was already pregnant as he kept her there so that his wife will not know.
It was gathered that the parents of the girl were members of Nwachukwu’s Church including the victim before he used fake prophecy to instil fear into the girl and started sleeping with her without the knowledge of his wife and the girl’s parents.
When she became pregnant, he arranged and took her away to Abia State so that the Church members will not know about the adultery.
But when the whole act got exposed, the Police rescued the girl and subsequently charged Nwachukwu before the Ogba Magistrates Court for conduct likely to cause breach of public peace and abduction.
In Court, he pleaded not guilty.
The prosecutor, Supol Bisi Ogundele, did not object to his bail hence, the Presiding Magistrate, Mrs. E. Kubeinje, granted Nwachukwu bail in the sum of N200, 000 with two sureties in like sum.
He was remanded in prison custody pending when he will perfect his bail conditions. But unfortunately, the Courts went on strike and he had since remained in custody at Kirikiri, Lagos.
The members his Church, who were shocked over his conduct, were said to have left him to his fate and have moved to other Churches.
No date has been fixed for the hearing due to the judicial strike which had stalled sitting at the Court.
