Prophet T.B. Joshua’s Burial: Major Roads To Synagogue Church Will Be Closed

The Synagogue Church of All Nation, SCOAN, has concluded plans for the final burial of its founder, Prophet TB Joshua, starting from 5th July and would be laid to rest on Friday, July 9th 2021 at the Church premises in Lagos. As such, major road leading to the church will be shut in order to control activities during the burial.

P.M.EXPRESS reports as disclosed by Dr Gary Tonge, an international member of the Church, while addressing newsmen in Lagos on Tuesday on the programmes for the burial of the prophet.

He said from July 5 to July 11, is dedicated to series of laying to rest activities tagged ‘Celebrating the Life and Legacy of Prophet Joshua, born (1963 to 2021)’ and the event will start with a private candle light procession at 6:00pm.

Then on July 6 to July 7, will be a Tribute Service at 10am. to 7pm, which will be opened to the public but with limited physical presence due to Covid-19 protocols and Service of Songs and all night praise starting at midnight.

Dr. Tonge also said that on July 8, would be the lying-in-state of the prophet from 11:00am to 5:00pm and the event will be open to the public to pay their last respect to the man of God.
While July 9, would be the laying to rest service and interment activities, which will begin at 10:00am and the Thanksgiving Service will be held on July 11 by 9.00am.

Tonge said Prophet TB Joshua was a man of the people with global influence and the Church is aware that the eyes of the world are upon this event.

He said that SCOAN was working with the Lagos State Government and the Ministry of Health to ensure that the current public health and security protocols would be observed during the duration of the event.

On the legacies of Prophet T.B. Joshua like charity, love and compassion on the less privileged in the society, Dr. Tonge stated that the Church will continue with those legacies and stated that the issue of successor is not an administrative matter and the one at hand at the moment is the burial of Joshua.
