Queen Mother Ambassador Aminat Ajayi Makes History With Lagos SWAN, Honoured As Grand Patron

  The month of March is another memorable month that will go down in history of excellence for the professional sports writing body in Lagos State, Sports Writers Association of Nigeria (SWAN), as frame of proposal was officially presented to the first Life Grand Patron of Lagos SWAN since 1964.

The Executive Chairman of SWAN Lagos State chapter, Ajayi. Oladunni,  presented the special Frame of Proposal to the International Diplomat and the United Nations Ambassador of Peace HRH, Queen Mother, Ambassador. Aminat Ajayi.

The Chairman noted that it is important and also necessary for a certified sports professional body like SWAN Lagos chapter to have a unique sophisticated personality with amazing international relevance like Queen Mother to become the Grand Matron of the noble professional body especially now that SWAN will be joining the Timeless Diamond League in the next one year.

HRH Queen Mother Ambassador Aminat Ajayi who gave  a positive response to the proposal and joyfully embraced the nomination said that the honour for her to be the Grand Matron of Lagos SWAN is actually a great motivating surprise for her as she loves sports naturally as a spectacular unifying religion that accommodates all race irrespective of the status and class.

HRH Queen Mother who has been recognised by various United States President, who included President Bill Clinton, President George Bush, President Donald Trump and the incumbent President Joe Biden, said, SWAN has always been a family she wants to associate with, as she said, her foreign relations and dynamic diplomatic relations and relevance will in no doubt add prosperous value to the sports sector and SWAN.

HRH Queen Mother Aminat who is the first president of Nigerians in Diaspora said that sports is one major area that needs more focus as she believes will boost tourism and create good values to the children and rising youths.

She said if more attention is given to sports, the positive outcome will definitely reflect on the children as this enable them get a bright secured future and also make the country birth more talents that will represent the nation in future sports competitions.

Queen Mother who was presented a branded Lagos SWAN face cap expressed her joy to become another mother to great beautiful minds who are members of the Lagos SWAN.

“It is another big task ahead of me, every position comes with a sacrifice and utmost dedication.  Sports is a sweet thing that brings joy to every home who cares to accept it. I am glad and I will try my best to make great impart in the best way I can”.

Oladunni, who led some of the Exco members to her residence, noted in her response that she is glad HRH Queen Mother Aminat is ready to take up the role wholeheartedly.

“I am very pleased and also  genuinely happy as this is the beginning of another new era into goodness, betterment and abundance for us in Lagos SWAN because the association will be experiencing another upgrade of flourishing excellence with diverse opportunities.

“Having a Grand Matron whose relevance has added productive impact on the black race, African American Nigerian American, Nigerian in Diaspora and Africa continent, which the United States Government has recognised her specially on several occasions alongside United Nations and European Union, is indeed a great honour and testimony”.

Oladunni noted further that “this we believe will add more values to the sports sector, sports market and its entirety as it will enhance catch them young having excelled in all major spheres of humanity as an international living icon, we believe if sports is added to the robust productive vision mandate of your Highness, using your highly sophisticated intimidating international relevance, a credible outcome will definitely be gotten. As the rising youths and future generations will live to be your eternal evidence of record immortality as they will not only sing your praises in years to come but your living legacies will continue to add better values to the society and the future generations”
