Rain Of Prayers On Senator Ekwunife As She Begins Construction Of 3 Bedroom Bungalow For Constituent

The ongoing construction of 3-bedroom bungalows facilitated by Senator Uche Ekwunife (Iyom) for some less privileged families in Anambra Central Senatorial District has gained another beneficiary from Nawfia in Njikoka Local Government Area of Anambra State.


On Monday, 7th December 2020, the Anambra Central Zonal Project Monitoring Committee led by Lady Henrietta Agbata visited the building project site to perform the foundation laying ceremony on behalf of Senator Ekwunife.

The committee was received by the Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Njikoka Local Government Area, Chief Anaeto Chibueze (Ojukwu Njikoka), some PDP Ward Party Executives and community stakeholders.

Welcoming the project committee, the PDP LGA Chairman, Chief Anaeto Chibueze, who equally represented the President General of the community, Sir Nathan Enemuo, described the project as laudable. He noted that the Senator is one Federal Lawmaker who has distinguished herself as a people-oriented representative. Speaking further, Chief Anaeto prayed for God’s blessings upon the Senator as she strives to attract more laudable projects to the constituents of Anambra Central. He wished her success in all her endeavours.

On her part, the beneficiary of the 3 bedroom bungalow, Mrs. Amaka Nwune, in an expression of uncontrollable joy, praised Senator Ekwunife for remembering her and her family. She noted that Iyom Ekwunife has exhibited the true traits of a caring mother who feels the pains of her children. Speaking further, Mrs. Nwunne wished the Senator success in all her endeavors, and noted that she is more than qualified to become the next Governor of Anambra State having shown herself as a representative of the people who is ever empathetic to the yearnings of the people at grassroots.

Conveying the Senator’s message of gratitude to Nawfia community, Lady Henrietta Agbata appreciated the people of Nawfia for their ever consistent support for Senator Ekwunife and urged the people of the community to remember Senator Ekwunife in their prayers. She equally reiterated the Senator’s commitment to attract more dividends of democracy to the community and all the communities under her jurisdiction.

Also in the delegation were the Former Accountant General of Anambra State, Mrs Helen Nwaeri, Former General Manager Anambra State Physical Planning Board, Chief Victor Okpoko, the Former Chairman of ASUBEB, Dr Rose Nwankwo, the Project Manager Anambra Central Liaison Office, Mrs Ifeyinwa Chinwuko.
Others present include, PDP Nawfia Ward 1 Chairman, Ogugua Nwokoye, PDP Nawfia Ward 2 Chairman, Mrs Ngozi Onah, the Njikoka Project Coordinator Anambra Central Liaison Office, Comrade ABC Ubani, Nawfia Ward 1 Coordinator SUECO, Jude Umejeh, Nawfia Ward 1 Youth Coordinator SUECO, Mr Nwonu Ikechukwu, Nawfia Ward 2 Youth Coordinator SUECO, Mmeniru Zimuzo.
