Re: Same Faith Presidential Ticket On Punch Newspaper
PRINCE ADEREMI AJIBOLA

As a Christian myself, my sincere respect towards christendom, PFN and its brethren remains unshakeable.
However, if truth must be told, people of good conscience must understand that, Asiwaju Tinubu’s religion is more conspicuously predicated on HUMANITY, rather than RELIGIOSITY.
He is only a Muslim by birth but a core humanist by practice. And I have my altruistic reasons to back it up:
1. He is married to a Pastor Mrs. Senator Oluremi Tinubu.
2. His daughter is married to a Christian, Hon. Oyetunde Ojo, from Aramoko Ekiti, Ekiti State.
3. Many of his Children are Christians and he has never denied them from practicing their religious choices.
4. Many of his friends, and mentees are Christians.
5. When he was the Governor of Lagos State, he returned many schools back to the Churches/missionaries.
6.Many lands were approved for the building of mega Churches as well.
7. Religious harmony in Lagos State was part of the programmes being promoted then, and with a state house Christian programme a very harmonious signature as promoted by his wife.
Once again, HUMANITY is his avowed religion, and we should stop playing a divisive, bigoted, and bizarre religious card, especially concerning these Abrahamic religions of the Middle East, and we must be very conscious of the fact that, what joined us together is more profound and fundamental in humanity context, and we must not allow the Biblical Isaac and Ishmael rivalry of the Religions of the Middle East to divide us.
In conclusion, let me end my submission with this insightful quotation by Sam Pascoe, that says:
“Christianity started out in Palestine as a fellowship; it moved to Greece and became a philosophy; it moved to Italy and became an institution; it moved to Europe and became a Culture; it came to America and became an enterprise.”
Though, Nigeria, West Africa was not included in his submission, but Christian coming to Nigeria must not be subjected into an acute bigoted indulge with our sanctimonious pretences and awful proselytization. Hence, let us allow the humanity in us to guild us in a godly manner through our faith in God and love for humanity and not that of bigotry inclinations.
