The Igbo in Lagos State under the aegies of Ohanaeze Ndigbo have concluded plans to honour one of their illustrious sons, business mogul and renowned philanthropist, High Chief (Dr) Ifeanyi Chukwuma Odii, during the Igbo Day celebration coming up on 12th December, 2021.

P.M.EXPRESS reports that the epoch making event, which will take place at the Police College, Ikeja area of Lagos, will be used to show appreciation to Chief Odii for his kindness and love to the less privileged people in the society.

This was confirmed by the leader of Ndigbo and President of Ohanaeze Lagos State, Chief Solomon Ogbonna Aguene, who had always described Chief Odii as one of the honest human beings he has met in his life with great passion of love with the milk of human kindness to the people.

Chief Odii, who will also be the Chairman of the occasion, will be given the Most Outstanding Philanthropist Award in Igbo land for touching the lives of many people as a way of giving back to the society.

Dr. Ifeanyi Chukwuma Odii is a young Nigerian from the East of the Niger with a humble beginning. He was not born with a silver spoon, rather he experienced and witnessed poverty before God lifted him to conquer poverty.

Today Dr Odii is the Founder/Chairman of Orient Global Group with subsidiary companies; Orient Global Manufacturing, Orient Haulage & Logistics, Purity Agro-Allied Ltd, and recently became the owner of The Classroom by Ultimus, Viarmor Healthcare Ltd at Victoria Island, Lagos State.

Right from his growing up days, Odii was said to possess a heart of Gold and enjoys service to humanity; he cannot see his fellow human being suffer pain without offering help. Most probably, that is one of the reasons God raised him from grass to grace.

Dr Odii, also known as the Face of Ebonyi State, has touched many lives from his community, across states and even abroad. He has built over 100 homes for the indigents in the rural areas, about six churches, built three Primary and Secondary schools, offered scholarships to over 1000 students home and abroad, with yearly medical screening through his foundation, known as Ebele and Anyichucks Fondation.

Chief Ifeanyi Odii has clothed the naked by giving out hundreds of wrappers to women, has given thousands of bags of rice and over 100 Motorcycles to feed many homes and has always identified with the needy and provides their needs.

Dr Odii bared his mind on his act of giving to the less privileged in the society. He said, “I was not born with a silver spoon. As a matter of fact, my humble beginning experience inspired me to help the less privileged around me and anywhere I come across them. That experience made me know what people are going through from poor background. I had been there, so it is not an experience another person should tell me. I understand what people are going through on a daily basis in their bid to fight poverty”.
