Rite Foods Limited, one of Nigeria’s leading food and beverage companies, has joined millions of Muslim faithful across the country to celebrate this year’s Eid-el-Maulud.

Eid-el-Maulud marks the birth of Prophet Muhammad and is observed by Muslims worldwide with prayers, reflection, and acts of charity.

In a statement issued to mark the occasion, the company congratulated Muslims in Nigeria and across the diaspora. Rite Foods said the season provides an opportunity for Nigerians to embrace the values of peace, unity, tolerance and compassion that Prophet Muhammad stood for.

Speaking on the celebration, Mr. Seleem Adegunwa, Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of Rite Foods Limited, called on Muslims to use the period to reflect on the teachings of the Prophet and to promote harmony in their communities.

He also urged Nigerians to pray for the continued growth and stability of the country in all sectors.

“As a company that shares in the joy of our consumers, we stand with our Muslim brothers and sisters as they mark this important moment in their faith,” Adegunwa said. “We hope this season brings renewed unity, progress and prosperity for all Nigerians. Let us continue to live in peace with one another and support initiatives that move our nation forward.”

The CEO noted that Eid-el-Maulud is more than a celebration. According to him, it is a reminder of selflessness, kindness and service to humanity.

Also speaking, Ekuma Eze, Head of Corporate Affairs and Sustainability at Rite Foods Limited, said the company is proud to celebrate key national and religious moments alongside its consumers.
