Robbers Invade Air Force Base & Cart Away Motorcycle During Operation

One of the robbers who invaded Air Force Base in Ikeja, Lagos and carted away a motorcycle despite the security men in place, has finally been arrested by the Police.
P.M.EXPRESS reports the 31-year old suspect, Hassan Sanga and others now at large were alleged to have invaded the Air Force base on 5th June, 2025, stole the item and escaped in the early hours of the morning of that day.
However, after several months, the suspect was arrested by the Commissioner of Police Tactical Team Ikeja, Lagos and detained at the Command for interrogation over the missing item.
The Police found him culpable after interrogation and charged him before the Ogba Magistrate Court for the alleged offence under the criminal law of the State.
The charges read:
“That you, Hassan Sanga ‘m’ and others still at large on the 5th of June, 2025, at about 1430hrs at Nigeria Air Force Base, Ikeja Lagos, in the Lagos Magisterial District, did conspire amongst yourselves to commit felony to wit: stealing and thereby committed an offence punishable under Section 411 of the Criminal Law of Lagos State of Nigeria, 2015.”
COUNT II:”That you, Hassan Sanga ‘m’ and others now at large, on the same date, time and place, in the aforesaid Magisterial District,, did steal one Boxer motorcycle valued Five hundred thousand Naira (N500,000.00) property of one Mohammed Kabir ‘m’ and thereby committed an offence contrary to Section 280 and punishable under Section 287 of the criminal law of Lagos State of Nigeria.”
He pleaded not guilty.
The prosecutor, Supol Josephine Ihkayere, asked the Court to give a date for hearing since he pleaded not guilty to enable the Police to prove that he actually committed the alleged offence.
The Presiding Magistrate, Mr. L.A. Owolabi, granted him bail with two sureties, who must show evidence of means of livelihood and tax payment while addresses will be verified by the Court.
The matter was adjourned for mention while the defendant was remanded in custody at the correctional center at Kirikiri town, Lagos, pending when he will perfect his bail conditions.
