Rt. Hon. Umeoji Condemns Attack On Prof Soludo

The Honourable Member Representing Aguata Federal Constituency and Gubernatorial Hopeful for Anambra, Rt. Hon. Chukwuma Umeoji KSJI, has condemned strongly the attack on former Governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria and Gubernatorial Aspirant, Prof. Chukwuma Soludo.

In the statement released by his media group, the Federal lawmaker described the attack as cruel, barbaric, and unjustifiable, he condemned in totality the attempt on the life of the ex-CBN Number one man and call for a full investigation into the incident.

The Statement reads: “This is cruel, unjustifiable and unacceptable. The recent attacks at the Isuofia Civic Centre, the home country of Prof. Chukwuma Soludo CFR, must be condemned and perpetrators brought to book to face the full wrath of the law, this is not akin to the politics of Anambra State”.

“We wish to appeal to the political actors in Anambra State to show restraint and eschew political violence, Anambra as the light of the Nation must always conduct itself in like manner.”

“The Anambra Police Command and other sister agencies must join hands to arrest the worsening threats of insecurity emerging from our once peaceful State.”

“We expect the security agencies and other authorities of the state to investigate this matter carefully and thoroughly and ensure adequate justice is meted out to the perpetrators.”

The Federal Lawmaker commiserated with the Commissioner of Police over the death of his men, who died in active service to fatherland, he further called for the immediate rescue of Engr. Ezenwanne the Anambra State Commissioner for Public Utilities.
