Garba Lawal, a member of technical committee of the Nigeria Football Federation, NFF, was given the disgrace of his life when he and some other NFF officials and fans travelling as Nigerian contingent to 2018 Russia World Cup were denied access to travel by the immigration officials at the Murtala Mohammed Airport , Lagos.

Emotions were running riot at the airport when the travelling contingent discovered so many discrepancies in the details. Some had their names not spelt correctly, others had their names well spelt , but with their different pictures attached on their FAN ID.

The other set of fans could not present their tickets for the matches they intend to watch at the World Cup in Russia.

It is being suspected that a lot of the travelers want to use the World Cup as a means to travel out of the country with the intention of not coming back after the World Cup.

PM EXPRESS further gathered from a top source in NFF that had it been Garba Lawal contacted the Federation at the airport , everything would have been resolved without stress.

“NFF will resolve the problem and Garba Lawal will travel on another date. Lawal did not contact the Federation about the problem, it could have been sorted out at the airport, ” the top source said.
