The fight against corruption in Nigeria got a boost recently, when SARCOM Group, a company in Anambra State, announced support for an NGO, the Association of Digital Media Core Advocates, ADMCA. He made the donation during a summit with the theme: ‘The Role of the Media in Tackling Corruption’, which attracted stakeholders like the media, security agencies, civil society groups and the government at Marble Arch Hotel, Awka, Anambra State.
The Chairman of the company, Chief Sam Nwosu, said he was impressed by the efforts of the ADMCA, after following their several activities aimed at sensitizing the people on the need to participate in social development initiatives in Anambra and Nigeria at large.

He said: “I have followed the activities of ADMCA and I know they will do better with the support of well-meaning citizens. They are doing a lot in bringing about social engineering in our society. My support is modest and I wish to call on people to lend their support to the group as well, since their aim is to foster a better society. Our media people should help the government in this fight”.

Sarcom group, which donated a Toyota space bus as well as an office space to the Anambra State chapter of ADMCA, also urged the media to ensure that exposing acts of corruption in government should not be compromised by influential personalities in the society.

ADMCA, a group of media personalities across many platforms and media was incorporated in 2018 with the aim of harnessing the influence of the media in engineering social development in the society.
