Senate President, Gov. Abiodun, Ooni, SGF, Others For Senator Adeola’s Aremo-Oba Installation

The President of the Senate, Senator Ahmad Lawan, Prince Dapo Abiodun, the Governor of Ogun State, Aremo Olusegun Osoba, Otunba Gbenga Daniel, former Governors of Ogun State, Mr. Boss Mustapha, the Secretary to Government of the Federation, SGF, as well as the Minister of Finance, Budget and National Planning, Hajia Shamsuna Ahmed, Ooni of Ife, Oba Adeyeye Ogunwusi among others are dignitaries expected to honour Senator Solomon Adeola, the Chairman of Senate Committee on Finance as he is installed as the Aremo-Oba Yewa ( Crown Prince) by the President of Yewa Traditional Council, Oba(Dr)(ESV) Kehinde Olugbenle, the Olu of Ilaro and Paramount Ruler of Yewaland and 49 other Yewa royal fathers next weekend at Ilaro, Yewa South LGA in Ogun State.

 The Yewa Traditional Council, in a letter dated September 29, 2021, titled “Conferment of The Prestigious Title of Aremo of Yewaland” stated that the Council approved the conferment of the title of Aremo of Yewaland, already approved over four years ago on your Distinguished Senator in recognition of your sustain persistent, uncommon passion and continuous support towards the growth and development of new Yewa of our dream”.

 The Senator, who received the letter, personally signed by Oba Olugbenle as the Olu of Ilaro and Paramount Ruler of Yewaland as well as President of Yewa Traditional Council, accepted the honour from all the living traditional rulers of Yewaland and the installation was fixed as part of the 10th Anniversary of the Installation of the Paramount Ruler for Saturday.

The unprecedented installation, which also included a title of Yeye Aremo for the Senator’s wife, Temitope, is expected to be witnessed by all Yewa Obas as well as other Obas in Ogun State and Lagos State. Other Yewa sons and daughter to be honoured with titles alongside the Aremo-Oba include Otunba Akeem Ade Adigun(Sokopao) as Apagunpote of Yewaland, Alhaji Ibrahim Dende Egungbohun as Oluomo of Yewaland and Alhaja Salmot Badaru, former deputy governor of Ogun State as Beere of Yewaland.

The 10th Anniversary celebration of the ascension to the throne of the Paramount Ruler of Yewaland will also witness the public presentation of the autobiography of Oba Olugbenle titled ” Double Grace: Kingship and Service” under the co-chairmanship of Alhaji Aliko Dangote and the President of the Senate with Chief Launchers as Alhaji Abdulsamad Rabiu and Sir Kessington Adebutu.
