Following successful mobilisation and consultations with Igbo constituents and other ethnic groups in Lagos West Senatorial District toward Saturday’s Presidential and National Assembly elections culminating in his endorsement and installation with prestigious chieftaincy titles, some disgruntled elements envious of Senator Solomon Adeola (APC, Lagos West) successful campaign towards re-election started a rumour that he denigrated the Igbos at his stakeholders meeting yesterday at Ajegunle, Ajeromi Ifelodun LGA.

According to Chief Kayode Odunaro, Media Adviser to Senator Adeola, there is absolutely no iota of truth in this vexatious concoction to the effect that Senator Adeola ever stated that Igbos will be “used and dumped” as being alleged throughout the stakeholders meeting which lasted less than one hour and was well captured on video which is available in the public domain.

Only today 12th February, the Senator fulfilled his pledge of a bus to Eze Ndigbo in Lagos State, Eze Uchechukwu Nwachukwu, following his endorsement for Senate and installation as “Dike di Ora Nma 1” of Lagos State one week ago.

At the hand over of the Toyota Hiace bus to Eze Ndigbo of Lagos State, who was accompanied by other Eze Ndigbo from different parts of Lagos West, Eze Nwachukwu reaffirmed the Igbo community’s endorsement of Senator Adeola and mandated all Igbos to vote for him and all APC candidate in Lagos State as according to him Igbos in Lagos State cannot be in opposition to the government and party in power.

“This is where we make our living and bring up our children without molestation. We support the party and the government in Lagos State and I am mandating all Igbos to vote for Senator Adeola a.k.a Yayi as the ” Dike di Ora Nma 1″ of Lagos State” he stated at the hand over of the vehicle.

Senator Adeola elated by his new found relationship with Ndigbo in Lagos since his installation, was pained at the rumour making the rounds saying that he represents all people in his senatorial district without regards to tribe and reiterated that he will not only champion the interest of Igbos in Lagos State but also in the Senate at Abuja.
