Senator Adeola Storms Ikeja Division To Sensitize Constituents

Posted on December 28, 2018

Ikeja Division played host to an August Visitor today 28th December, 2018 as Senator Solomon Olamilekan Adeola (Yayi) went on a roadshow to sensitize the electorate ahead of the 2019 senatorial election.

The Lagos West All Progressives Congress (APC) candidate left no one in doubt as to his popularity among his Ikeja Division constituents with a long motorcade dotted by over 50 campaign buses across the major streets of Ikeja Division.

The campaign buses which were beautifully branded with photographs of APC leading lights such as President Muhammadu Buhari,  Babajide Sanwo-olu and Yayi himself were conspicuous to every discerning minds in the traffic.

Soon after take-off from Yayi’s campaign office along Adeniyi Jones, Ikeja at exactly 11:50am, it was obvious that the convoy was in for a carnival of sort with coordinators from the 28 LG/LCDAs across Lagos West, members of Face of Yayi and the Social Media team clad in identical T-shirts and fez caps flooding the streets sensitising electorates on why Yayi remained the best candidate for Lagos West in the upper legislative chamber.

From Adeniyi Jones, the convoy headed for Obafemi Awolowo Way where the campaign team disembarked from their buses and trekked the distance to Agege Motor Road before continuing the journey up to Toll Gate, Ota via Iyana Ipaja, Abule Egba, Meiran and Alakuko  as residents and party faithfuls joined in the solidarity songs for the APC candidate even as the chant ‘Yayi Ni Joo, Omo West Ni Jaare’ rented the air amidst thunderous applause from the cheering crowd.

On the home bound journey, the convoy made a detour at Abule Egba and headed for Fagba via Charity Road. From there it was homeward bound to the campaign office via Ogba and Akilo Road.

For political watchers, Senator Adeola remains the only candidates to beat for the Lagos West senatorial district seat due to his record of performance in his first term in office which saw him sponsoring 15 bills out which four had been signed into law in the Senate.

Aside this, Yayi’s philanthropy and empowerment programmes has also endeared him into the hearts of his constituents.

Rather than rest on his oars, the quintessential senator has also blazed the trail in terms of mobilization and strategic campaign planning which have literarily boxed his opponents into submission.

This is further demonstrated by the near perfect visibility he has enjoyed in the political space both on the streets and social media.
