Posted on November 19, 2018

As the Presidential and National Assembly campaign begins Senator Solomon Adeola Yayi (APC, Lagos West), the chairman of the Senate Committee on Local Content and the flag bearer of APC for Lagos West has called on all political parties’ candidates to conduct violence free and issue based campaign as parties officially begin electoral campaigns.

In a pre campaign release signed by Chief Kayode Odunaro, Media Adviser to Senator Adeola, the distinguished senator stated that the issues around the campaigns are clear in the term of Nigerians going back to the ugly past of 16 years that brought us to almost ruination as a nation or continuing the cleaning of the mess of past administrations in the last 3 years or so with enduring positive developments to propel our nation to the next level of human development.

“As we begin campaign for the 2019 General Elections, I call on my supporters and Nigerians to shun violence and violence inducing utterances. The issues to campaign for candidates are clear enough in terms of antecedents, performance in public offices if any in the past and areas of focus if elected. There is no need to resort to violence for a just cause of service to the people” he stated.

Senator Adeola stated that in all his legislative position held in the past and presently, he has continuously strive to deliver on the core mandate of the legislature leading to his repeated and progressive election right up to the highest legislative body in Nigeria adding that it is too late to change the the records he has established and is noted for.

As I reported back to my party members leading to my overwhelming winning of the party direct primary, I will in course of the campaign report back on the mandate given to me in 2015 by the electorate as well as chart the way forward for my Senatorial district in the incoming 9th Senate.

Senator Adeola who is noted for his usually flamboyant and colourful campaign promised to transverse all the LGAs and LCDAs in the largest Senatorial District in Nigeria adding that he is sure his party at the state and federal levels has enough to showcase for Nigeria going forward to the next level.
