Senator Adeola Yayi Mourns Baba Obanla

The Distinguished Lawmaker representing Ogun West Senatorial District, Senator Solomon Adeola Yayi, has recieved with shock and deep sadness the demise of
Chief Musbau Ayinde Olayiwola Obanla, popularly known as Baba Obanla, a prominent community leader in Ipokia and political leader in Ogun West Senatorial District.

 

Baba Obanla passed on in the early hours of today after a brief illness at the age of 80.

 

In a condolence message to the family of Baba Obanla, Senator Adeola stated that his passage “ is a personal loss not only to me as a person as the Senator of Ogun West Senatorial District, but it is indeed a loss to the good people of Ipokia Local Government, Ogun West and the entire people of Ogun State where he was a committed and active member of the Elders Council of the state” adding that Baba Obanla was totally committed to my political aspiration during his lifetime.

 

Senator Adeola commended the late grassroots political leader for his services to Ogun State and the nation while working variously as Ipokia District Council Officer-in- Charge of Education, Purchasing Manager of West Africa Portland Cement Company Ltd, pioneer Administrative Manager of Portland Transport Sagamu, the Vice Chairman of Ipokia Local Government Area in 2004 and the Chairman of Ipokia Council Transition Committee.

Until his death, he was a member of Governing Council, Abraham Adesanya Polytechnic Ijebu -Igbo Ogun State and member of Ogun State Elders Advisory Council set up by Governor Dapo Abiodun.

Senator Adeola prayed for the peaceful repose of his soul and the fortitude for the immediate family to bear the irreparable loss of the dearly departed patriarch.
