Development in Ogun West Senatorial District is gathering more momentum as the Distinguished Lawmaker representing the district, Senator Solomon Olamilekan Adeola Yayi, is set to hand over and commission another set of 90 transformative projects across the five Local Governments of the senatorial district.

These projects, which address critical needs such as roads, schools, health centers, and modern markets, are part of the Renewed Hope Initiatives of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and serve as a strong complement to the strides of Governor Dapo Abiodun’s APC administration in Ogun State.

The commissioning tour will begin tomorrow, 26th of August, 2025 in Ado-Odo/Ota Local Government, where 20 diverse projects will be inaugurated in Ota and Ado constituencies. From there, it will move to Ipokia, Yewa South, Yewa North, and Imeko-Afon, ensuring no local government is left out.

The scope of the projects tells a powerful story:

In Imeko-Afon, roads like Igbo Ifa Road and Ilara–Ilashe Road (Phase 1) will be unveiled alongside a brand-new Primary Health Centre and an ultramodern market.

In Yewa North, new roads, a modern market in Imasayi, and an ICT Centre in Ayetoro will open doors of opportunity.

In Yewa South, more than 20 projects, including township roads in Ilaro, multiple health centers, ultramodern markets, and ICT facilities for schools, will be added to other infrastructure already in the communities.

In Ipokia, the commissioning includes township roads in Idiroko and Agosasa, new classrooms, health centers, and the Koko Ultramodern Market.

In Ado-Odo/Ota, 20 projects ranging from modern markets in Atan and Ijako Ota to school blocks, health centers, and road networks such as Lusada–Alapoti Road (Section 2) will be commissioned.

Senator Adeola explained that these projects reflect his determination to bring government closer to the grassroots. “This is not about projects on paper; it is about visible development that people can see and feel. Every classroom, every health center, every road, every market is for the people. These projects are in line with the Renewed Hope Agenda of Mr. President and are a continuation of Governor Dapo Abiodun’s effort to spread development to every part of our state. Together, we are rewriting the story of Ogun West,” he said.

For communities that have long yearned for meaningful development, this new wave of 90 projects signals that hope is no longer distant; it is here, and it is real.
