The Distinguished Lawmaker representing Ogun West Senatorial District and Chairman of the Senate Committee on Appropriations, Senator Solomon Olamilekan Adeola Yayi, has trained and empowered 200 teachers and civil servants in Ogun State.
Senator Adeola facilitated the training in strategic collaboration with Centre for Management Development in conjunction with Sahar Continental Limited and Young Thinkers Limited.
Teachers and Civil Servants drawn from different sectors and selected locations across Ogun State gathered for three days of intensive training at the Asade Agunloye Pavillion, Ilaro, and were lectured on ‘Electronic Documentation for Teachers and Efficient Record Management for Civil Servants’.
The training was crowned with an empowerment programme, which took place on Monday 23rd December, 2024, at Asade Agunloye Pavillion Hall, Ilaro.
Senator Adeola Yayi, who was represented at the empowerment programme, highlighted the importance of the training. The distinguished lawmaker stressed the need for teachers and civil servants to be updated in the processes of documentation and management of records in order to reduce the cumbersome practices of keeping teaching notes and official information management.
The Asade Agunloye Pavillion Hall went into a frenzy when the coordinators brought in brand new laptops, which were handed over to every participant of the training programme. The participants could not contain their joy when they were informed that the Distinguished Senator, Aremo Dr Solomon Olamilekan Adeola Yayi, added the sum of One Hundred Thousand Naira (N100, 000) each to the laptops they received.
The overjoyed beneficiaries, dressed in their training uniforms, rose in songs praising the Distinguished Lawmaker for quality representation at the National Assembly.
Seven participants, who spoke to P.M.EXPRESS on behalf of the beneficiaries, unanimously passed their vote of confidence on the capacity of Senator Solomon Olamilekan Adeola Yayi not just on human capacity development but in several areas especially in the provision of infrastructure across Ogun West generally.
The beneficiaries, who are not politicians, as attested to by the representatives of the Centre for Management Development, voiced out their desire to have Senator Adeola in 2027 contest and govern Ogun State after Prince Dr Dapo Abiodun’s tenure.
