Senator Adeola Yayi Urges Unity & Inclusion At Ogun West APC Stakeholders’ Meeting, Unveils Grassroots Mobilisation Plan

The governorship candidate of the All Progressives Congress, APC, in Ogun State, Senator Solomon Olamilekan Adeola, YAYI, CON, FCA, has called on party leaders and members across Ogun West Senatorial District to close ranks and embrace unity ahead of the 2027 general elections.

Speaking at the Ogun West APC Stakeholders’ Meeting held in Ilaro, the Distinguished Senator, Aremo Adeola said inclusiveness and internal cohesion are critical to the party’s victory at all levels.

The Senator urged leaders to ensure the full integration of members who recently defected to the APC from the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, and other political platforms.

“Considerable efforts were made to bring new members into the APC and they must therefore be treated as integral members of the party rather than segregated or excluded from party activities,” he said.

He also appealed to leaders to accommodate former aspirants and stakeholders who did not secure tickets, noting that their structures and supporters remain vital.

“They are part of us. We must respect and embrace them. We need the maximum support of everyone, and we cannot afford to leave any stone unturned,” Senator Adeola stressed.

As part of measures to strengthen the APC at the grassroots, Senator Adeola announced monthly logistics support for ward meetings across the district, beginning in October for an initial six months.

He said ward chairmen will be required to provide evidence that meetings were duly held before subsequent support is released, to ensure accountability and sustained engagement.

The APC governorship candidate further unveiled a comprehensive grassroots mobilisation structure.

According to him, 334 ward coordinators will be appointed and inaugurated across the state, with larger wards having more than one coordinator to ensure adequate coverage. Each ward coordinator will receive a brand new motorcycle, a Closed User Group, CUG, telephone line and communication support to reach hinterland communities.

In addition, 59 Local Government coordinators will be appointed, with larger LGAs having additional coordinators. Each LG coordinator will be provided with a vehicle to support mobilisation activities.

“We will adequately mobilise our structures for the elections and provide the necessary logistics to ensure effective grassroots engagement across the state,” he assured.

Senator Adeola commended Governor Dapo Abiodun for his efforts in building a unified APC Campaign Council and appealed to members whose names may not appear on the list not to feel excluded.

“The fact that your name is not on the list does not mean that you have been left behind. This is one family, and everybody has a role to play. The composition was undertaken in good faith and in the collective interest of the party,” he said.

The Senator disclosed that the date for the inauguration of the Campaign Council, ward coordinators and other grassroots structures would soon be announced, after which the campaign timetable and formal declaration date would be made public.

He charged party members to work collectively for all APC candidates across elective positions.

“We must work for all our candidates. We are fully ready for this election, and we will mobilise fully. Our ward meetings must continue smoothly, and we will provide the necessary support to sustain them,” Senator Adeola concluded.
