Posted on June 26, 2021

Frontline Gubernatorial aspirant under the platform of the All Progressives Congress, APC, Senator Andy Uba, has debunked the fake news making the rounds that he has hijacked the ongoing Governorship Primary election in Anambra State.

Reacting to the fake news, his media office said, “There are wild reports going rounds the social media space that the APC Primary election has been hijacked by the frontline governorship aspirant, Senator Andy Uba. We want to categorically state that this is total falsehood. Sen. Andy Uba has not hijacked any process and has no capacity nor intention to do so”.

“Sen. Andy Uba is a true democrat who believes strongly in allowing the voice of the people prevail. He went round the 21 local government areas in Anambra State campaigning very hard to get the endorsement of party members. He therefore has no reason to attempt hijacking the electoral process when he has a strong grassroot following.”

“We therefore, urge members of the public to disregard the fake news. The primary election is underway across the state after the initial delay in distribution of materials at the collation centers in the Local Government Areas.”

“Sen. Andy Uba is committed to a credible and transparent primary process and appeals to members of the public to avoid consuming unverified news throughout the primary process.”
