Senator Dr Tony Nwoye Mourns Dr Amachukwu Ezike

The Senator representing Anambra North Senatorial District, Senator Dr Tony Nwoye, has expressed sadness over the death of Dr Amachukwu Ezike  (Ugwumba Nanka), who was his running mate in 2013 Governorship Election in Anambra State.

Senator Dr Nwoye, in a statement he personally signed, noted that it was  devastating receiving the shocking news of Dr Amachukwu Ezike (Ugwumba Nanka’s) death, describing it as not just a monumental and personal loss to him, that it was also a huge loss to the good people of Nanka and Ndi Anambra.

“I and my family grieve over this sudden passage of our great leader, friend and Brother, Dr. Amachukwu Ezike, whose contributions to my Political Journey and above all, party politics and democracy in Nigeria, cannot be quantified.”

“It’s quite sad that he left us at a time when he was most needed for more breakthroughs, consolidation and progressive inroads; but who are we to query God?”

“Dr Amachukwu came, saw and conquered within the very few lifespan he spent on earth. As a successful Medical Doctor and politician, he was a beacon of hope to many across his community and the state, having dedicated his life to the development of his community and human empowerment.”

“Dr Amachukwu Ezike was a highly disciplined Medical Practitioner, refined and consistent individual, whose position was that the essence of being in politics and public service is to build the people and the land.”

“The contributions of my late Running Mate when I was a PDP candidate in 2013 Governorship election and political leader, to the development and stability of Anambra State chapter of PDP in those days will not be forgotten.”

“I express my sincere condolences to his immediate family, friends and good people of Nanka and Ndi Anambra State” Senator Nwoye stated.
