Senator Ekwunife Facilitates Construction Of Tarzan Junction/Akuzo Road Nkpor

In her consistent bid to address the yearnings of her constituents, Distinguished Senator Uche Ekwunife (Iyom) has facilitated the construction of Tarzan Junction/Akuzo Road Nkpor.

The Anambra Central Zonal Project Monitoring committee on Friday, December 18, 2020 visited the road which has been in a dilapidated state for years to flag-off construction work amidst cheers, excitement and joy from residents of the area.

The committee was received by the Ward Executives of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) led by the Ward Chairman, Obiano Theodore, other stakeholders of the party and some residents of the area.

Speaking at the project site, the PDP Chairman Nkpor II, Mr Obiano Theodore stated that the road which runs through a densely populated area has been a nightmare for residents particularly during the rainy season. He noted that the commencement of construction work on the road is a huge relief for commuters and a great win for the party in the ward.

Speaking further, Mr Obiano appreciated Senator Ekwunife for facilitating the project which according to him will bring succor to residents and businesses located in the area. He prayed God to reward her abundantly and grant her the enablement to do more for the masses.

On her part, the Leader of the Project committee, Lady Henrietta Agbata reiterated Senator Ekwunife’s resolve to attract laudable and impactful projects to all the communities under her jurisdiction. She appreciated the people of Nkpor for their consistent support for the Senator, particularly in the last election.

Speaking further, Lady Agbata noted that the Senator remains committed to fulfilling her campaign promises to the people of the constituency. She urged the people of Nkpor to continue to remember her in their prayers as she strives to deliver more dividends of democracy to Ndi Anambra Central and beyond.

Other members of the project committee present include, the Former Accountant General of Anambra State, Mrs Helen Nwaeri, Former General Manager Anambra State Physical Planning Board, Chief Victor Okpoko, Former Chairman of ASUBEB, Dr Rose Nwankwo and the Project Manager Anambra Central Liaison Office, Mrs Ifeyinwa Chinwuko.

Others present are, PDP Youth Leader Idemili North, Mr Izunwa Sunday, PDP Youth Leader Nkpor Ward 2, Mr Echezona Iweobi, Treasurer PDP Nkpor Ward 2, Mr Chris Egwuatu, Financial Secretary PDP Nkpor Ward 2, Mrs Adibe Chinelo, Executive PDP Nkpor Ward 2, Hon Attamah C.E, Nkpor Ward 2 PDP Stakeholder, Lord Saicas Ibeabuchi, Local Government Coordinator SUECO, Obum Ekpelinwa, Coordinator SUECO Nkpor Ward 2, Mr Anayo Nweke, Coordinator SUECO Nkpor Ward 3, Mr Collins Eze, Youth Coordinator SUECO Nkpor Ward 2, Mr Tony Onwuka amongst others.
