Senator Ekwunife Hosts PDP Executives In Anambra Central Senatorial District

The Senator representing Anambra Central Senatorial District, Senator Uche Ekwunife, on Sunday met with the Executives of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Anambra Central Senatorial District.
The meeting, which was held at the Senator’s compound in Nri, had in attendance the State PDP Zonal Chairman Anambra Central, Dr C. C. Okeke; Local Government Chairmen, Women Leaders and Youth Leaders of the party across the seven local governments of the Senatorial District and other members of the party hierarchy.
Addressing the gathering, Senator Ekwunife noted that the meeting was called to interact with Party Executives in the Zone, brief them on her activities at the Senate and seek for ways to further strengthen the party at the zonal level.

In her interaction with the Party Executives, the Federal Lawmaker called for an effective conflict-resolution mechanism geared towards ensuring that the party remains united and formidable in the zone.
Speaking further, Senator Ekwunife revealed that she has put in at least one project in every community under the Senatorial zone to ensure adequate distribution of democratic dividends, and that she has also facilitated Federal employment for over 150 persons in the last one year and still counting. She appealed to party leadership to focus more on membership drive in order to effectively improve the numerical strength of the party.

In his reaction, the State PDP Zonal Chairman Anambra Central, Dr C. C. Okeke, appreciated the Senator for hosting Party Executives of Anambra Central Senatorial Zone.
Dr Okeke expressed his satisfaction on the Senator’s efforts, which according to him is targeted at ensuring that the party remains formidable in the Senatorial zone.

He thanked her for the achievements she has so far recorded in the Senate and assured her of the cooperation of party executives in the zone.
