Senator Ifeanyi Ubah Consolidates Support For Sickle-Cell Patients, Donates Chest Freezer, Food Items

The Senator representing Anambra South, Dr. Patrick Ifeanyi Ubah, on Friday continued his support for the Association of People Living with Sickle Cell Disorder (APSCLD) with donation of a chest freezer, various food items and toiletries.
Presenting the items to the group at the Sickle-Cell Home, Agulu, the Senator, who was represented by the Coordinator of Active Voters Solidarity Movement, Hon. Mrs . Ngozi Ubah, commended the Sickle-Cell patients for their diligence despite their health conditions. The Anambra South Senator further reassured them of his commitment towards promoting their wellbeing and urged them to remain law abiding.
Responding on behalf of the Sickle-Cell Patients, APSCLD National Coordinator, Aisha Maureen Edwards Maduagwu, thanked Senator Ubah for his unending efforts towards promoting their wellbeing.
According to Mrs. Edwards, the Senator responded immediately he received the group’s request. She further said that those donations will go a long way in alleviating their challenges.
Recall that Senator Ubah has sponsored a Bill for the establishment of a Sickle-Cell Disease Research and Treatment Center in Aguata and the Bill has passed first reading. He also contributed in equipping a vocational and skill acquisition center for Sickle-Cell patients in Nanka. The Anambra South Senator has also donated a brand new car to the APSCLD National Coordinator.
