Senator Tejuoso Set To Hold 3rd Annual Egba Dialect Debate & Choral Competition

The Senator representing Ogun Central Senatorial District and Chairman Senate Committee on Health, Senator Dr. Lanre Tejuoso, is set to hold the grand finale of the 3rd edition of the annual Egba Dialect Debate and Choral Competition.
The preliminaries of the annual competition tagged ‘Annual Egba Dialect Debate And Choral Competition’ had earlier been concluded in the six local government areas in Ogun Central Senatorial District.
The grand finale of the competition will be holding on Friday 21st June, 2019, at Olusegun Obasanjo Presidential Library, Oke Mosan, Abeokuta, Ogun State, by 9.00am
In a chat with P.M.EXPRESS, Senator Dr. Lanre Tejuoso, said that the noble initiative which is targeted at secondary schools in his senatorial district is geared towards making his young constituents to embrace the Egba culture and dialect. According to the distinguished senator who is also a Prince of the Oke-Ona Egba stock, promoting culture through the debate and choral competition will help preserve the Egba heritage as we were gradually losing our cultures, languages and dialects to technology and foreign languages. The senator also assured that this year’s edition will be better than the previous ones as he believes that promoting culture is preserving our heritage.
