Senator Umeh, Prof Soludo, Others Honour Chief Dr. Okoye

Distinguished Senator Victor Umeh, a representative of Governor Obiano, Prof. Chukwuma Soludo and other dignitaries joined the Obeledu Community, friends and well-wishers of Chief Dr. Josephat Kanayo Okoye (Onwa Obeledu) at the occasion of his 80th Birthday ongoing at St. Paul’s Catholic Church, Obeledu.
The auspicious event began with an Episcopal Holy Mass presided by the Emeritus Archbishop of Abuja, His Eminence John Cardinal Onaiyekan, together with the Bishop of Awka Diocese, Most Rev. Paulinus Ezeokafor and his Auxiliary, Bishop Jonas Benson Okoye and the Bishop of Ekwulobia Diocese, Most Rev. Peter Okpalaeke and numerous other Bishops, priests and other religious.
Senator Dr. Victor Umeh OFR, KSS (Ohamadike Ndigbo) attended the event together with the Executive Governor of Anambra State, Chief Dr. Willie Maduaburochukwu Obiano FCA (Akpokuodike) ably represented by the Head of Service, Hon. Barr. Harry Uduh and the APGA Candidate for the November 6th Anambra Governorship Election, Prof Charles Chukwuma Soludo CFR .
There were also numerous Traditional Rulers led by the Traditional Ruler of Obeledu, HRH Igwe A.C Oragwam (Ezeoranyelu) and the Chairman, Anambra Central Council of Traditional Rulers, HRH Igwe Christopher Okpala. The Chairman of Anaocha LGA, Hon. Patrick Onyedum and Hon. Engr. Ikeobi Ejiofor were also present.
The event also marked the official opening of the Okwuanyionu Foundation Center, Obeledu, built by the celebrant for charity purposes.
