Senator Yayi, Gov. Abiodun Assure President Tinubu 2 Million Votes In 2027

The All Progressives Congress governorship candidate in Ogun State, Senator Solomon Adeola Yayi, and Governor Dapo Abiodun on Thursday promised to deliver 2 million votes for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu in the 2027 presidential election.

The pledge was made at a mega rally organized by one of Senator Adeola’s support groups, Caucus 7202, held at the Otunba Dipo Dina Stadium, Ijebu-Ode.

Speaking at the rally, Senator Adeola said Ogun State has benefited significantly from the Renewed Hope Agenda of President Tinubu, citing key federal projects in the state.

“Ogun State is a beneficiary of the Lagos-Calabar Coastal Road, Badagry-Sokoto Road as well as the ongoing total rehabilitation of the Sagamu-Benin Expressway,” he stated.

The Senator representing Ogun West urged voters to support APC candidates across all levels, warning against what he called “mere propaganda” from the opposition.

“Do not listen to them when they say vote for only Yayi in APC. I have no agenda with anyone. I appeal to you all to vote APC from top to bottom,” he said.

Senator Adeola added that if elected governor, he would expand on projects across various sectors and build on the accomplishments of the current administration.

He also cautioned voters against supporting opposition parties “grappling with litigation and operating their finances with a private company account,” saying such parties cannot offer concrete development.

In his remarks, Governor Dapo Abiodun corroborated the 2 million vote target for President Tinubu and described Senator Adeola as a tested and reliable politician.

“I want to thank Caucus 7202 for their massive mobilization for APC and endorsement of our candidates towards the coming elections. We will carry you along in government,” the Governor stated.

He praised Senator Adeola’s experience in governance, saying he is fit to continue and consolidate on the successes recorded in the state.

Earlier in a welcome address, the Director General of Caucus 7202, Hon. Olaseni Koiki, said the group is an umbrella body for over 1,000 support groups with almost 200,000 members, with only about 10% of them politicians.

“We are wholly supporting all APC candidates from the President to Assembly members in Ogun State. Our members and their followers are for APC,” he said.

The mega rally had in attendance the APC Deputy Governorship candidate, Alhaja Kudirat Abiodun Adegunwa Balogun and her husband, Hon. Dr. Abdulrasaq Balogun, Ogun State APC Chairman, Chief Yemi Sanusi, Senators Lekan Mustapha and Akin Odunsi, and other APC chieftains.
