Over eight women including minors and married women were said to have had nasty experiences in Lagos State at the modeling training academy founded by Show promoter, Al-Ameen Babatunde, as he was alleged to have tempered with their private parts during the training.

The incident happened at his office located at 1004 Estate, Victoria Island area of Lagos, where the victims went for training for modeling and acting in the entertainment industry.

Apart from sexually assaulting the victims,  he was also alleged to have extorted some amount of money under false pretence before his conduct was exposed by the victims parents through an NGO known as Gnosis Help Initiatives based in Lagos State.

The eight victims (names withheld) aged,  9,12, 13,20, 23,  26, 28, 30 among others, fell into his trap after they paid certain amount of money for him to train them on modeling and feature them in the fashion festival he was planning to organize.

The matter was reported to the NGO, Gnosis Help Initiative, which in turn wrote a petition to the Commissioner of Police, who then directed the Gender Section of the Command to investigate the matter.

Thus, Babatunde was arrested and detained at the Command for interrogation over his alleged conduct.

While being interrogated, more victims showed up and reported as well how he sexually harassed them by touching their private parts.

The Police found him culpable and consequently charged him before the Ogba Magistrate Court for the alleged sexual harassment under the Criminal Laws of the State.

However, he pleaded not guilty.
