Why I Slept With My 14-Year Old Daughter – Father

A 45-year man, Aderemi Adelaja, has reportedly told the Police in Lagos why he engaged his 14-year old daughter in sex romp after he had inserted his finger into her private part, lost control and forcefully penetrated her.

P.M.EXPRESS reports that the incident happened at Adelaja Street, Afariogun area of Oshodi, Lagos, where they reside.

The Police from Area F Command in Ikeja, Lagos, then arrested Aderemi after the victim leaked the act and the trauma she was going through having been defiled by her own father.
It was gathered that Aderemi forcefully removed the victim’s clothes and pant, inserted his finger into her private part and in the process penetrated her in order to satisfy his sexual desire.
He was later charged before the Ogba Magistrates Court for defilement which attracts several years of imprisonment if he is tried and found guilty before the Court.
However, during the arraignment, the prosecutor, Supol Benson Emerhi, asked the Court to refer the matter to the DPP for advice since the matter involved a minor and biological daughter.
Thus, the Presiding Magistrate, Mrs. O. Sule-Amzat, then ordered the defendant to be remanded in prison custody without an option of bail or taking his plea.
The Court also directed the prosecutor to duplicate the file and send to the DPP for advice while the defendant will be in prison custody pending the outcome of DPP’s advice.
The matter was adjourned till 24th December, 2019.
The matter may be transferred to the High Court if the DPP’s report finds Aderemi culpable and recommends for his trial for incest and defilement which even attracts life imprisonment.
