Social Critic, Agunloye Raises Alarm Over DSS’ Plot To Arrest Him

A Lagos-based Public Affairs Analyst and social critics, Agunloye Adewunmi Bashiru has raised an alarm over the plan of Nigeria’s secret police to arrest him because of his persistent criticism of the government of Muhammadu Buhari.

Agunloye told our correspondent that he received a phone call from an Officer who simply referred himself as Dickson who claimed that he is from the Department for State Service (DSS) in Lagos.

According to him, through the phone conversations with the hidden phone number the Officer making references to various Opinion Article written against the Federal Government  of Nigeria.

He was directed to report at the Lagos State Office of Department for State Service Office in Ikeja Lagos State.

Since the incident of the phone conversations, several phone calls with hidden numbers has been calling.

“I declined to pick up the calls because of fear of being persecuted.

” I don’t know what they need from me and why they are after me . What I am writing against is about the insincerity of the Federal Government to the myriad of insecurities in Nigeria.

“The Government claimed to have spent millions of dollars on purchased of weapons to fight the insurgency and banditry but what we are seeing is killings by the terrorists bandits and herdsmen,” Agunloye said.
