Social Media Influence & ‘Bosun Tijani..

Posted on August 6, 2023

I wouldn’t know if I have been in Bosun’s shoes before. The difference here is that Bosun is one of many evolving Technocrats largely influenced by Technopols (Technocrats who became Politicians), who shifted to populism immediately they got out of power. The commonest place where “popular nonsense” is couriered is the Social Media.

Here you find people seeking validation and striving to be like every other person to avoid being cancelled. It actually takes balls to standout. Bosun lacked those balls and joined the bandwagon. Now, the same problems he created have landed at his doorstep.

If I were BATists, I would forgive Bosun. It is a rule in politics to “keep your enemies closer”. However, this is a lesson for all who are on the outside now. Always remember say “chacha dey rotate”.
