Residents and politicians in Somolu have been advised to embrace love and peace as the ruling party, APC, is a one big family, despite the political brouhaha, which followed the just concluded Primary elections of the party at Local Governments and LCDAs in Lagos.

The Executive Chairman of Somolu Local Government, Hon. Abdul Hamed Salawu a.k.a Dullar, made the advice earlier yesterday as he gifted out monthly welfare package for over 1,500 elderly people in Somolu at the Council Secretariat.

In furtherance of the distribution of the monthly welfare packages to senior citizens of Somolu, an exclusive programme of the incumbent Chairman which commenced in 2017 till date and has earned him outstanding accolades.

Top-hole interactive displays from top council’s Executive members and Community leaders to the attendees gave a warm approval to the Council Chairman, who lauded the citizens for their irresistible support and assures them of continuation of good governance across the political zones in the community.

“We give glory to the Almighty, who kept us alive till today and gave us the strength to surpass the strong challenges we faced. Your unflinching support has been massive and I appreciate everyone.”

“Primaries have come and gone, this is the time for us to remain as on big family and not foes. Let’s all detest the discrimination of our members, as we all belong to one big family, the Progressives and our administration is a peg for all parties. There is no excuses for failure, especially when you have at your disposal, the right platform to deliver good governance to the grassroots, despite the dares” he said.

The Chairman, who was in the midst of Hon. Mariam Salawu (Chairperson), Hon. Afolabi Ayodele (Chief Of Staff), Hon. Adewale Oseni (Supervisor for Agric and Social Services), Alhaji Abdul Kabir Raji (Supervisor for Works and Infrastructure), Hon. Akinola Olumide  (Supervisor for Health), Prince Adeeso a.k.a Obama (Director General of Dullar Continua Initiative), Hon. Rasak Tajudeen (Special Adviser on Market Affairs), Comrade Raheem Afees (Special Adviser on Food Security); Hon Abiola Fashoro and Alhaja Kudirat Adetoye (Members, APC Caretaker Committee), Alhaji Tella Tajudeen (CDC Treasurer), Mrs F.A Oluwole (Apex Women Leader) and Comrade Musa Fasasi (NYCN Coordinator, Somolu Local Branch), hailed the party chieftains for their leading roles.

“We duly acknowledged the National Leader of our great party, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, the State Governor, Mr Babajide Olusola Sanwo-Olu, the Governor Advisory Council Members, the State and Local Caretaker Committees; Our Apex Leaders and the quartet of Hon. Olowo Rotimi, Hon. Abiodun Orekoya, Hon. Gbolahan Bagostowe and Hon Willy Lawanson, for their exemplary leadership qualities.”

“A true supporter and loyalist of the Progressives will always give honour to who merited it and perform his duties as expected. We pray for God’s guidance as we set for another LG election”, he concluded.

It certainly a vintage edition for the incumbent Chairman, whose sterling administrative performances were commended by the beneficiaries who promulgated their satisfactions and love for his nonpareil governance, eyeing a convincing victory for him at the upcoming polls on the 24th of July, 2021.
