Posted on May 19, 2021

The leadership of the various concerned Niger Delta groups under the platform of the Southern Youth Foundation is mobilising for a protest to shut down activities of the NDDC.

After the resolution reached at the meeting on Tuesday, the leadership of the groups informed all concerned parties to get ready for a massive protest soon.

“We give the office of the Sole Administrator/CEO 48 hours to attend to our matter before the security agencies risk total  shutdown of NDDC activities.”
“It is very clear that the Sole Administrator of NDDC has failed to keep to his words. On this note, we urge all the groups not just the affected but all stakeholders, youths to come out and shutdown all NDDC activities on a date to be made know soon on Aba Road, Eastern Bypass, Olu-Obasanjo Road if the NDDC refuse to produce the SA to Rivers State Police Command or the State DSS.”

“The  leadership of NDDC has failed woefully in terms of our welfare since after the commissioning of the NDDC Headquarters. This is unacceptable! Enough is Enough!” the Southern Youth Foundation concluded.

It is really disheartening and disappointing that Nddc as a commission have blatantly failed to produce the SA youth over an issue of misappropriation of public fund upon series of invitations by the Nigerian Police. Shutting down the commission therefore cannot be overemphasized.

  2. Emeni Ibe says:

It’s quiet unfortunate that uptil now the Nddc have refused to produce the S A but instigated the arrest or kidnap of IYC President , this is unacceptable
