As Christians all over the world celebrate Christmas, the Speaker of the Anambra State House of Assembly, Barrister Rita Maduagwu, has urged Nigerians to use this opportunity offered by the season to resolve to live together in harmony.

In her Christmas message, Barrister Maduagwu enjoined politicians and religious leaders to be more statesmanlike, law abiding and place the greater interest of the country above all personal or sectional interests.

The speaker appealed to President Muhammadu Buhari to include in his 2019 New Year broadcast the immediate reconstruction of all Federal roads in the SouthEast zone and appoint more people from the zone in his cabinet.

She said that since Jesus Christ preached and ensured peace among people and nations, Christians and non Christians should pursue peace at all times and shun those things that could disunite the country.

While wishing Ndi Anambra a happy Christmas celebration, Barrister Maduagwu urged them to remain peaceful and loving and intensify their support to Governor Willie Obiano.
